Beyra was the winner of the last tournament several years ago. As such she was tasked with managing this tournament, a responsibility all winners must fulfill. Fun fact about Cujo, the St Bernard breed is so laid back that they had to tape his face to get him to look like he was snarling. And for the attack scenes they had to use a doberman stunt double~

Haha, yeah. The dog that played Cujo was called "Daddy" and they had to strap his tail down cuz he looked so un-threatening wagging it around so much. xD

Get in the car? What a fun game! Car! Sniff the car! Food! 8DDD

It's so hard to find good snarly pics of big mastiff-type dogs. xP

Don't I know it. They're difficult to draw snarling with all of that face sag~

It amuses me how Beyra and Avi are the same age. XD Avi's so much older than most of the competitors, yet he's young for his breed.

Interesting coincidence. Keep in mind though that the age range of a dog in captivity is not the same as a feral dog; most dogs in the wild seldom live past 5 years old, so Beyra is actually pretty long-lived all things considered.

True, true. Beyra is alive because she's a badass. Avi's alive because he's lucky. |D

Is it okay if, in the last tournament, Beyra ended up killing my OC's relative in the last round? c:

Yes, you can take any liberties with her that you wish. Her history and characterization are deliberately left vague because she is a tool to help facilitate the story the competitors want to tell. The only things about her that are firmly established are that she is irritable, but takes her job seriously. Other than that do whatever you want with her.

Is her primary coat more of a dull red or more of a brown? I can't really tell because I'm half red-colourblind.

Hum, darn. I was toying with an overbearing theme of rust (which reddish fur would fit into), although I can probably just shift the blame from my poor memory and on to my harmless adorable puppy's dog's color vision deficiency things.

but there's still good time left, at least

Does she have assistants helping her with the tournament? If she does, would it be all right to make one up (just some random dog for one or two pages?)

It's up to you. If you want there to be dogs helping her that's fine. Beyra is largely undeveloped specifically so that the competitors can do what with her they desire. You have as much creative freedom with her and her role in the story as you need.

Thank you! No, she's just there to organize the tournament. Of course if you want your dog to try picking a fight with her you are free to do so, but officially she is just there to run things.

Yup, and by all the dogs who seem to gather for the tournament, I do think she more or less will get annoyed by half of them... or something...

Hrm... I don't think so. She probably only speaks whatever common language all the dogs of Prypiat speak. This is probably Ukrainian, but for the sake of simplicity dialogue should be in English.
